In improv theater
you act from the
principal of Yes-And.
Whatever happens onstage,
you don’t resist or refuse,
you go with it—
giving it your Yes…
and responding
with your And—
words and action
arising spontaneously
out of trust in yourself,
creativity,
all-possibility
and imagination.
Through your openness
you open the space
for all other players
in the scene
to add what comes next
out of their
creativity,
possibility and
imagination.
And the story onstage
naturally and creatively evolves.
