Transforming Possibility

Anything that is, can change.
All manner of things may change.

In the midst of our fear, our anger or loss,
our sickness or sorrow, there exists
—at the very heart of our suffering—
the potential for change, for transformation,
for the emergence of the Greatest Good.

We open ourselves to the possibility of
transformation and the Greatest Good…

…when we can finally accept the
only option we have left to us:
Surrender…

…when we can let go of any
illusions, expectations, plans or
demands we’ve been holding onto…

…when we can give up our
insistence on the way we think
Life should be and engage deeply
with Life exactly as it is.

Our surrender does not guarantee us ease or
cure. It cannot release us from our suffering.
But when we at last let go, our surrender begins
to transform suffering itself. When we let go, we
are saying Yes to Life …and with our Yes,
everything changes.

Our Yes opens the way for us to be moved and
changed by what we suffer, honed and refined
by it, made more human and more whole. In
letting go to the way Life is, we make it possible
to find wisdom and meaning in what we suffer.
And the entire body mind-spirit opens to the
possibility of healing and transformation.

With our Yes, we enter the flow of the great
river of Life, taking with us whatever burdens
we’ve been carrying. We give ourselves to the
current, learning to trust the river.

The great river of Life lifts us up, buoys us
and our burdens alike, bearing us in the direction
Life means to go. In a state of unexpected grace,
we ride the river, seeing what we had never seen
before: revelations meant for us alone, revelations
of meaning, blessings, and the Greatest Good.
The great universe, all of creation, our minds, our
bodies, our spirits, all we are and all we can be
flow forth from an infinitely Creative Source.

When we choose to take up the
burden we did not want or wish for…

When we can embrace it as our own…

When we can allow Life to carry us
in the direction Life is going…

…we open our body-mind-spirit to creative
possibilities far beyond our own imagining.

We swim in the imagination of God.

God IS Transforming Possibility.

About Ann

I am interested in the strange beauty of brokenness, in transforming possibility in difficult times, in how we heal even when we can’t get better, in the alchemy of surrender, in the interplay of light and shadow, in the bounty of everyday wonders, in the gift of laughter…and writing about it, all and everything.
